Last night I was awakend by a voicemail from my good friend Dionne. She was letting me know about the police shootings in Oakland. Our good friend Mike is a police officer that usually works that area and that shift. Thankfully he wasn't working there when the shooting happened. The officers killed were very good friends of his, though. I just want to ask for prayers for the officer's families and for Mike as they go through this horrible time.
I also found out yesterday a friend of mine from Borgata in Atlantic City is gravely ill from colon cancer. Hospice is coming into to help her and her family. I am praying hard for them.
