Judges 1-2
I think that Judges is such an important book to read for christians. At first you get really irritated at the Israelites. Can't they just follow God???? Then you start to see the similarity between Israel and our own lives. How fustrated God must be at me? I am just like them. I get close to God and things seem great. All of the sudden I am sinning and further from God than ever. It is such a fustrating cycle for me that I can't even begin to imagine how angry and upset God must be with me. I just really think that Judges helps us to see that and earnestly long to be closer to God.
